When I was in my teens and 20s, it always struck me odd that my Dad didn’t enjoy movies. He watched TV, loved plays, but not movies. I didn’t get it, they were all a wide variety of entertainment in my eyes, all equally interesting.
Now I’m in my 50s, my tastes in entertainment have changed. I still enjoy live theatre a few times a year, but I rarely go to see a movie at the theatre. I’d prefer to wait until I can rent it from iTunes and watch it in my home than sit at a crowded theatre with all its expensive snacks and “interesting” patrons, sounds, smells and textures. I guess I’m more like my Dad now than I’d like to admit.
